Google celebrates its 12th birthday today, and to mark the occasion a new doodle has been created.
This year, the Doodle is of a birthday cake with a candle replacing the “l”. The Doodle was painted by 89-year-old American pop artist Wayne Thiebaud, whose most famous works are of cakes, pastries, boots, toilets, toys and lipsticks. Last year’s doodle was the Google logo with a duplicate “l” representing 11 (eleven) as can be seen here
